About the role:

POSITION PURPOSE

This is an exciting opportunity for a sales champion to lead the commercial development for Sustainalytics Corporate Solutions sales of ESG rating services to large companies. We are looking for a sales leader with proven commercial expertise in servicing corporates with a background in sales, corporate investment banking, capital markets or sustainability consultancy. In this role you will do business development, prospecting, and turn qualified opportunities into sales of ESG and sustainability to EMEA's leading companies.

In the role, you will also gain profile within the ESG market through speaking opportunities, networking, and engagement in market development. The ideal candidate has interest and experience in both finance and sustainability.

Job responsibilities:

Key responsibilities include:
  • Act as a trusted advisor to corporate sustainability, treasurer, c-suite, investor relations and marketing leaders in companies to how to integrate ESG solutions;
  • Grow and maintain a robust sales pipeline;
  • Support other sales team members in a team-based selling setting;
  • Implement the Sustainalytics Corporate Solutions (SCS) business development strategy
  • Be the team's expert in ESG for corporates in Sustainable Finance and provide guidance to management, product development and execution on the needs, requirements and regulatory changes of your assigned markets;
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking groups;
  • Build, maintain and extend professional networks;
  • Further develop ESG and Sustainable Finance industry knowledge.


Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will be a genuine team player who can reach objectives through close collaboration and coordination with other team members, based on Sustainalytics' relationship-focused consultative sales philosophy. The candidate should have the following qualifications:
  • Alignment with Sustainalytics' mission, vision and values;
  • Demonstrated experience in sales and ESG to large corporations;
  • Proven expertise in corporate investment banking, capital markets, sustainability consultancy or a corporate sustainability team.
  • 5 to 10 years related work experience;
  • Commercial mindset, innovative and entrepreneurial, with a keen interest in sales;
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills;
  • English fluency required;
  • Travel to other financial centres and travel to Europe a few times per year required; and
  • A related degree in Finance or Business and/or Sustainability.
